Hornorkesteret (Norwegian Polar Orchestra)
a brief introduction:

Music: With instruments made out of horns from reindeers, deer and moose Hornorkesteret sounds odd. The horns are used as a kind of fiddle, drums or just rubbed until a sound is created. With the use of microphones and transistors connected to the horns the sound is unmistakable original.

Norwegian Polar Orchestra is an adventurous group and ready for the call of the moose!

With inspiration from Amundsen and the race for the South-pole they invade new terrain in the landscape of contemporary music.

Uniforms: White Norwegian army to go with the snow in the Norwegian Highlands. The squadron of ten musicians are hard to find when they play outdoors in a winter setting.

Performance: In a gallery or concert place you can see them clearer. And the performance of the group is just as important as the music. The sound of the horns and the look of them creates an uncanny atmosphere.

Mission: To boldly go where no one has gone before!.

Target: Whoever who is listening.
